The story so far...
L&F Transfers began operations in 2011 with a small fleet of buses running miners to and from sites in central Queensland. Since its humble beginnings, L&F Transfers has grown significantly.  They now supply more than 30 buses to various mine and school runs encompass L&F Fleet Hire; supplying more than 40 mine specification light vehicles and Total Fleet Solutions; supplying fleet maintenance for L&F Group vehicles and externally owned fleet vehicles.

The L&F Group now have a fleet of 30 buses and 40 Mine fleet vehicles and they transport mine works to three major natural resource organisations. You can even find a fleet tractor out at Coronado Curragh!

The L&F Group now proudly employees 50 staff across five locations and has a large mining and education client roster across the mining, construction and community sectors.

L&F Group General Manager Nathan Turner says the organisation has come a long way since the small office beginnings in Blackwater.  They now have a new head office, bus and coach warehouse and maintenance facilities in Yeppoon and a major new transport and fleet maintenance workshop in Blackwater.

“It’s been a big job to grow our business to where it is now. Our company has experienced 30% growth in the last 18 months.

“We’ve also got vehicle and maintenance depots in Blackwater, Charters Towers, Gin Gin and Emerald,” he says.

Nathan has extensive experience in transport and logistics and since he’s been in the business was Fleet Manager Nicole Lulan and our Health, Safety and Environment Manager Nathan Keenan have also come on board to help with growth.

L&F Transfers move mine workers between Blackwater and Emerald to mine sites at Curragh, Crinum, Springsure and Gregory.  They also transport children to schools across central Queensland.

Nathan Turner says they couldn’t do what we do without their 50 strong workforce and the support of the communities where they operate.

“We’re so grateful to have our amazing workforce supporting us, so that we can support the central Queensland community,” Nathan says.

“Our main focus is to provide the safest, most reliable transport.  The more mine workers we can transport, the less tired drivers there are on our central Queensland roads.  All our bus and coach drivers are trained in first aid and all our coaches carry defibrillators.

“Our flexible and dynamic approach to transport solutions enables us to offer safe, efficient and highly customisable workforce transport to support the mining and resources industry and local communities.”
